Our PowerSavvy program has wrapped up, after supporting households on Thursday Island, Horn Island, and the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) to save power and money. A big thank you to everyone who took part!
Developed in partnership with local communities and funded by the Queensland Government, PowerSavvy put the power in customers’ hands through:
- White Goods Rebates for upgrading to energy-efficient appliances
- Business energy assessments to help local businesses improve energy efficiency and save on their bills
- Home Energy Health Checks to help families save energy and money
- The rollout of smart meters across Thursday Island, Horn Island and businesses in the NPA
- Access to My Account so customers can easily check their energy use
- Education programs for primary and high school students
