You can request a refund if your account is in credit.

Solar credits on your account will be automatically refunded every 12 months, but you can request a credit refund at any time.

Request a refund quickly and easily in My Account. Head to the ‘Billing & Payments’ page in My Account and, if eligible, you’ll see a ‘request a refund’ button.

Still getting solar refunds by cheque? Switch to EFT and get refunds paid straight into your bank account. It’s quick, secure and hassle-free. Visit the ‘Billing & Payments’ page in My Account and click on solar refunds.

When we'll need to speak with you

In some cases, we’ll need to speak with you on the phone to assist with your refund. Please call us on 13 10 46 (residential) or 1300 135 210 (business) if:

  • you have an active account that's under $50 in credit (if you have a closed account you can still request a refund via My Account)
  • you have SmoothPay on your account
  • you’re an authorised representative on the account.
