So, you’ve got solar? That’s amazing! You’re helping lead the energy transition, and we’re excited to have you on board.
There’s a super-helpful feature in My Account called Solar Export Alerts.
It keeps an eye on your system so you don’t have to.
If your solar hasn’t exported for five days straight, you’ll get a quick heads-up.
It’s all about catching small issues early - before they turn into big ones.
All you need is a smart meter.
If you’ve still got a basic one, you can request an upgrade at ergon.com.au/smartmeters.
Once your Solar Export Alert’s on, we’ll send you a text or email - whichever you prefer - if exports stop consecutively for 5 days.
So you can get back to soaking up those sunny savings.
You can check your dashboard anytime to see your energy use and solar exports, whether it’s day by day numbers or months of sunshine.

Track your energy spend and stay ahead of your next bill with My Account.
Hi, I’m Nicole from Rockhampton one of the Energy Specialists here at Ergon Energy Retail.
In My Account, the Current Bill Period tile on the dashboard gives you a clear view of your electricity costs - day by day, and bill to bill.
You’ll see your current cost to date, your predicted cost, and how many days you have remaining on your billing period - so there are no surprises.
You’ll need a smart meter to be able to access this awesome feature. Don’t have one? You can easily request one at ergon.com.au/smartmeters
If you’ve set a budget, you’ll see how your current spend stacks up and if you’re over budget - helping you stay on track.
And if you want to dive deeper, you can explore your cost trends or set up alerts to keep your energy use in check.
Your usage and metering tile also showcases via a graph how you’re tracking with your usage and solar exports (if you’ve got solar installed) on a daily basis.
It’s all about giving you the tools to stay in control - with no guesswork, and no stress.

Registration tips
Follow our two-step guide below to breeze through the registration process.
Step 1: Verify your details
- Visit My Account and click "register here"
- Enter your Ergon Energy Retail account number (you can find this in the Account Details section on the front of your bill). The account number will start with an A- and then have a mixture of uppercase letters and numbers e.g. A-123A1234. Ensure you have no spaces before, within or after the account number
- Confirm if your account is in your name or a business name
- Enter your first and last name (as shown on your bill)
- Enter your email address
- Enter your date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy).
Step 2: Verify your email and set a password
- Verify your email with multi-factor authentication – confirm the code we emailed you from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com
- Set your password (minimum of 8 characters, include one: lowercase letter, uppercase letter, number, and special character).
- Once verified, you’ll be able to access your My Account dashboard!

Here's some tips to troubleshoot common login issues:
- Unmask your email - Check that your email address isn't masked. Sometimes, using the autofill function on your browser may obscure your email details. For example, if you see something like e******@live.com.au, make sure to enter it in full.
- Account not found error - If you’re encountering a ‘We can’t seem to find your account. Register instead?' error message, double check that the email address entered is complete. If the issue persists, click the 'Register here' link located under the Login button.
- Check your password - Click the eyeball icon on the password field to see what you’ve entered and check it's correct. If you’re still having trouble, you can reset your password using the “Forgot your password?” link. Once your password is reset you’ll be transferred directly to your My Account dashboard.
