Win a $500 Bill Break Competition

General

  1. Information on how to enter and the prize associated with the Win a $500 Bill Break competition (Competition) forms part of these Terms and Conditions. The Competition is conducted by Ergon Energy Queensland Pty Ltd ABN 11 121 177 802 (Ergon Energy Retail).
  2. The Competition commences at 12am on Monday 1 December 2025 and closes at midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Friday 28 February 2026 (Competition Period). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be accepted.
  3. The Competition is open to account holders with a current Ergon Energy Retail electricity account.
  4. Employees of Ergon Energy Retail and its related and associated entities, their immediate families, and agencies and/or companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family includes spouses, de facto partners, parents, children, and siblings.

How to enter

  1. To enter the Competition, an eligible account holder must, during the Competition Period:
    a. Register for My Account; or
    b. Log in to My Account.
  2. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering, you release Facebook from any liability related to the Competition.
  3. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering, you release Instagram from any liability related to the Competition.
  4. Ergon Energy Retail reserves the right to administer the Competition and to alter these Terms and Conditions (including prize details and winner selection) at its absolute discretion.
  5. Ergon Energy Retail is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained in connection with the Competition or the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Prize and winner selection

10.A total of four (4) winners will be selected at Ergon Energy Retail’s discretion throughout the summer months.

11.Each winner will receive a $500 bill break, applied as a credit to their Ergon Energy Retail electricity account.

12.The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.

13.Winners will be contacted by Ergon Energy Retail via phone or email to verify eligibility. If a winner cannot be contacted or verified within one (1) working days, an alternate winner may be selected.

14.Each winner is responsible for any expenses not specified in the prize details.

15.By entering, winners consent to their name being published on Ergon Energy Retail’s promotional channels, including social media, email, website, and newsletters.

16.Ergon Energy Retail’s decision regarding winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17.By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Participants must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the Competition terms and conditions to be eligible to enter the Competition. Incomplete or inaccurate entries not strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Competition will be deemed ineligible.

Privacy Notice

Ergon Energy Retail is collecting your personal information to administer the Win a $500 Bill Break competition. The personal information we collect  is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).  By entering the Competition, you consent to Ergon Energy Retail collecting your personal information and agree Ergon Energy Retail may publish your name on Ergon Energy Retail’s promotional channels.
