- Working near powerlines
Working near overhead or underground electric powerlines is dangerous. Every year workers die or suffer serious injury, mostly because safe work practices around electricity have not been applied.
Whether you’re on a building site, working on a farm, driving a truck or operating machinery, 'Take care, stay line aware' always plan ahead and take precautions when working near electricity poles, overhead powerlines and underground cables. All machinery operators and other persons working near powerlines should be aware of and comply with the Electricity Entity Requirements, Safety Acts and Regulations.
