Major projects

We're meeting the challenges of Queensland's future energy needs with continued investment in our electricity network.

This critical work supports the economic growth and prosperity of regional Queensland, where the renewable energy transformation, industrial development, population growth and increasing air conditioning loads continues to place demands on our network.

For more information view our Distribution Annual Planning Report.

Community engagement

We recognise that various groups and individuals are impacted by our major infrastructure developments and some of our operational projects. For this reason, we undertake early impact assessments and engage the community when these projects are in the planning through to the delivery stages.

Our Community Engagement Framework (PDF 79.8 kb) overviews some of the key steps involved in our engagement processes. This framework has been developed in conjunction with the Department of Energy and Climate. It also highlights the different levels of community engagement that may be suitable for a major infrastructure project.

Our engagement practices align with the International Association for Public Participation, Australasia's (IAP2) Core Values, Code of Ethics and Public Participation Spectrum.

In addition to our major projects below, we are also engaging on numerous smaller projects, like our Curra Network Upgrade (PDF 400.0 kb).
