Lightning strike in a field

Lightning tracker

During storm events, lightning is one of the main reasons for damage to our electricity network. It can also delay restoration efforts because it’s not safe to have our crews on elevated work platforms during lightning activity.

The Lightning Tracker shows the storm activity during severe weather events and the potential impact to the power restoration process. In emergencies, please refer to the Bureau of Meteorology warnings page.
