Solar Sharer gives you free electricity in the middle of the day, when solar energy is high.

Here’s how it works:

What time is the free electricity?

Every day from 11am to 2pm.

Is all electricity free?

No. Electricity is only free:

  • Between 11am and 2pm
  • Up to 24kWh per day.

How much free electricity can you use?

You can use up to 24kWh of free electricity each day between 11am and 2pm.

This helps keep Solar Sharer fair and sustainable. Any usage above this is charged at the applicable rate.

What happens if I go over the limit?

If you use more than 24kWh during the free period, any additional usage is charged at the applicable rate.

You won’t lose the free part – only the extra is charged.

Will I still pay for electricity outside the free period?

Yes, electricity used outside 11am to 2pm is charged at the applicable rate.

Does the daily service fee still apply?

Yes, the daily service fee still applies.

Is controlled load included in the free period? eg. hot water or pool pump circuits on economy tariffs

No, controlled load isn’t included.

Appliances on economy tariffs like hot water systems or pool pumps:

  • Are charged at their usual rate
  • Don’t count towards the free period or daily limit.

Who is Solar Sharer best suited to?

Solar Sharer best suits customers who can regularly use some electricity between 11am to 2pm, such as:

  • Cooling or heating your home
  • Running appliances (laundry, dishwasher)
  • Charging devices or EVs.

It may be less suitable if:

  • You’re usually away during the day
