Do you have a Smart Meter? And are you ready to check you’re on the best tariff for your premises? Our handy Tariff Comparison Tool in My Account has you covered!
Let me show you how easy it is to use your usage data to choose the right tariff - tailor made to suit your needs!
To get started, simply log into My Account. Once you’re in the dashboard, select the tariff comparison tool.
You'll also see an information block which will indicate if you're on the best tariff rate already or if there may be a more cost-effective tariff better suited to how you use your energy.
The information is based off your premises previous energy usage and you will need at least 12 months’ worth of data to be able to use our Tariff Comparison tool.
It’s important to note that this assumes your future usage patterns will remain consistent with how you’ve been using your energy.
Below, you’ll see a list of tariffs, along with projected costs.
It’s also easy to switch tariffs! Simply click on “SWITCH TARRIFS” and confirm the tariff change on your account.

Why don't you just switch me to the cheapest tariff?
Because the cheapest tariff will vary for every customer, as it depends on when and how you use energy.
Better Offer uses your past energy usage to compare tariff options, but only you know what might change in the future, like working from home more often, buying an EV or installing a pool.
That's why we give you the information and let you decide what's best for your circumstances.
Why can’t I access the Better Offer feature?
Some potential causes for Better Offer not to display a result include:
- You don't have a smart meter
- There isn't 12 months of usage history available at your account yet
- The account has a smart meter however the remote communications functionality is not active or is disabled
- The account has two primary tariffs
- The account is consolidated
- There could be a temporary system issue.
How do I request a smart meter to access this feature?
You can request a smart meter quickly and easily via our online form.
Heads up 👉 You’ll need 12 months of usage data with the new smart meter, before you can access Better Offer.
What are my options to compare tariffs if I don’t have 12 months smart meter data?
Compare all available tariffs and pricing on our Residential Tariffs or Business Tariff pages.
If you find a tariff you’d like to switch to, please call our regional Queensland team to request a tariff change.
