Digital meters

From 1 December 2017, all new and replacement meters in Queensland must be digital.

Over time, we’ll swap out basic meters for digital meters when required – for example, if a meter is found to be faulty or has come to the end of its asset life.  We’ll also use digital meters for any new meter installations.

This change is driven by Power of Choice regulatory reforms to help customers to access the benefits of digital meters.
