Appliance running cost calculator

The table below is designed to help you determine how much your appliances are costing you to run. To discover their monthly operating costs, follow these simple steps:

  1. Estimate your appliances' weekly use in the 'Hours per week' column.
  2. Click the Calculate button at the bottom of the form to calculate your estimated energy cost for a month.

Other factors such as the make and model of the appliance, your individual usage habits and even the weather are variables that will impact on the final cost. The following running costs are indicative only and based on Tariff 11 Residential. Where operation of your appliance allows for it to be placed on Tariff 31 Night Rate (Super Economy) or Tariff 33 Controlled Supply (Economy), a further saving can be made. The cost shown is based on usage only and does not include service fees.
