Planned maintenance work on our network is important to provide you with a safe and reliable power supply. Outages are also required to meet regulatory obligations where electricity retailers rely on us for planned outages to enable metering works. The dates and times of planned outages are generally not negotiable and you should make alternative arrangements if you need power during a planned outage. If your meter read has been estimated, you can submit a self meter read and ask your electricity retailer to adjust your bill. Read more about Submitting a self meter read. If you have a complaint about your meter reading, please contact your electricity retailer directly (their contact details will be on your last power bill).

If your electricity meter is difficult to access because you have locked gates, you can obtain approved meter locks so we can access your meter. If you have a dog, please register for meter read alerts so you’ll know when to ‘suitably restrain’ your dog.
