EasyPay Rewards Terms & Conditions

Reward product eligibility – residential

If you have a new or existing residential electricity account with Ergon Energy Retail you are eligible to apply for registration.

Registration

To successfully register you need to:

  • Have an account balance as zero owing or in credit, unless you are in the Customer Assist program
  • Have been issued a bill within the previous 30 days, unless you are in the Customer Assist program
  • Call us on 13 10 46 to register.

Registrations on or before 5 August 2019

If you successfully registered on or before 5 August 2019 and continue to maintain your EasyPay arrangements, you’ll continue to receive annual reward payments of $75 on the anniversary of your registration until the program ends on 30 September 2020. Reward payments are not subject to GST.

You’ll need to:

  • set up and maintain your SmoothPay payment schedule, and
  • pay your bills by Direct Debit or CentrePay with no missed payments, and
  • receive all account billing communications via e-mail with no delivery failure notices.

If you become ineligible for annual reward payments within six months of receiving a payment, we may recover it if you:

  • do not meet the eligibility conditions but maintain your account
  • finalise the account that received the reward, but do not create a new Ergon Energy Retail account which is eligible for the reward
  • reapply for the program within the next reward period.

You will stop receiving reward payments if you:

  • stop being a customer of Ergon Energy Retail
  • do not comply with all of your obligations.

Registrations after 5 August 2019

If you successfully registered after 5 August 2019 and before 1 January 2020 and continued to maintain your EasyPay arrangements, you’ll receive up to 4 quarterly reward payments of $18.75 (one quarter of the annual reward). Reward payments are not subject to GST.

Customers participating in the Customer Assist program will be eligible to register for EasyPay Rewards and receive rewards.

You’ll need to:

  • set up and maintain your SmoothPay payment schedule
  • pay your bills by Direct Debit, BPAY® or Centrepay with no missed payments
  • receive all account billing communications via e-mail with no delivery failure notices.

Customers who successfully registered for EasyPay Rewards on or before 5 August 2019 and received an annual reward payment will not be eligible to register for EasyPay Rewards and receive quarterly reward payments within 12 months of receiving their last annual reward payment.

You will stop receiving reward payments if you:

  • stop being a customer of Ergon Energy Retail
  • do not comply with all of your obligations.

Customers in the Customer Assist program

If you are enrolled in Ergon Energy Retail’s Customer Assist program you must meet all the EasyPay Rewards conditions and adhere to your program obligations to successfully register and receive reward payments.

When the reward period ends

If we are still your retailer when this reward product ends, we'll still supply you with energy under our standard retail contract, but with no rewards.

The reward product is not a product for the sale of energy and is a separate product to reward eligible participants who meet certain obligations under these terms. The terms for the supply of electricity to your premises are set out in our Standard Retail Contract.
