Brief description of the project
4 Voices Global Limited
Support vulnerable women who need help with social disconnection, improving digital skills and accessing services, housing or employment at no cost. Funding will deliver two weekly services from the mobile Connection Hub over a 12-month period.
Deliver a sustainable solution to medical waste by capturing and recycling clean hospital plastic waste. AE will be part of circular economy minimising environmental impact, contributing to local economies and remanufacturing items to be purchased back.
Bat Conservation and Rescue QLD
Funds will be spent on the purchase of equipment, specifically four Intensive Care Unit incubators for rescued bats and flying foxes. The entirely volunteer-run group provides a vital service in terms of both environmental conservation and public health and safety.
Blackall Bowls Club
Replacing 1950's tables and chairs in the clubhouse which is the hub for many organisations in the community such as lawn bowls, bingo, football club, birthday parties and wakes.
Bunya Mountains Community Association Inc
Supporting disaster preparedness activities for the Bunya Mountains including a Disaster Response and Evacuation Emergency Kit and First Minutes Matter Workshop for 20 local people.
Calen and District War Memorial Hall Inc
Installation of 6.6kw solar system including 17 panels for the hall which houses war memorabilia and honour boards of local heroes who served in the military.
Cape Upstart Community Progress Association
The Cape Upstart committee is committed to install defibrillators in each bay in their region of which this funding will cover four out of ten areas.
Community Gro Inc
Community Grow works alongside people experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage in the Townsville region to develop better eating habits and cooking skills. They also support Emergency Relief through the Upper Ross Community Centre.
Drought Angels Ltd
Funding will support two Drought Angel members to complete online ‘test and tag’ training, ensuring volunteers inhouse can test & tag electrical items: both items for sale/donation through the thrift shop as well as their own business appliances.
El Arish Community Sports and Recreational Association Inc
Replacement of gas stove installed in the 1980's to a more energy efficient model. El Arish aims to remain a sustainable rural village with strong family, sporting, social and historical values.
Ellis Beach Surf Lifesaving Club Inc
Situated on the main highway between Cairns and Port Douglas, the club is often a hub during times of natural disasters. Installation of 6.5kva three phase bunded diesel generator will galvanize the club’s ability to be there for community during emergencies.
Fernvale Lions club Inc.
Fold up umbrella's will be utilised to provide much needed outdoor shelter for people holding special events and services at the community facility.
Mooloolah River Waterwatch and Landcare Inc. (MRL)
Update of the electrical wiring and installation of a new switchboard box to MRL facility. This will enable MRL to safely bring together the community in participatory learning, produce more native plants in their nursery and nourish vibrant partnerships.
Parkrun Australia LTD
A new parkrun event will be established at Elliott Heads. This is a free, weekly 5km walking/running/volunteering event along the coastal path every Saturday morning on an ongoing basis to engage people from all backgrounds, abilities and ages.
Phoenix House clients have experienced trauma throughout their life and when they attend counselling services it can be very overwhelming. Funding will purchase sensory and outdoor accessories to help clients relax and feel safe during their sessions.
Picabeen Community Association Inc.
Picabeen Safe Space is an established drop-in program that support LGBTQIA+ young people and allies, facilitated by an identified LGBTQIA+ social worker. Funding will build skills for staff and volunteers to support their community.
Queensland Country Women's Association Mareeba branch
Educating women in the art of sewing and encouraging the creation of items worthy of sale in the community - with funds raised going to local charities.
Queensland Police-Citizens Youth Welfare Association - South Burnett
Upgrades like Wi-Fi and screens will create a more engaging youth drop-in space, where attendees engage with peers and members of the public, promoting youth and community connectedness.
Rathdowney & District Memorial Grounds Association
This project involves the purchase of LED flood lights for Rathdowney's Memorial Grounds. The grounds provide a base for local volunteers (fire fighters, SES and RMGA) during emergencies such as bush fires and care flights.
Rotary Club of Rockhampton Fitzroy
Build and install Buddy Seats in local primary schools which play an important role in providing an avenue for vulnerable students to reach out and seek support.

Little Community Libraries boxes are free and placed outside private residences, primary schools and churches. Inside each Library is a good range of child/adult fiction and non-fiction books, magazines and children's picture books.
Sailability Capricornia provides opportunities for those with a disability the chance to learn and experience sailing. Funding will equip the group with six radios to keep in touch on a sail day.
The StandbyU (SBU) Shield is a world first, digital solution that has children, women and families sleeping safely at night, having gained agency in their lives and peace of mind for them and their loved ones.
The Mini Farm Project Ltd
Development of an Urban Farm to grow food for those in need and provide learning and employment pathways to High School and University Students.
The Shop of Opportunity Inc.
The Shop of Opportunity will receive funding to retrofit their storage shed. This support will enable them to make a safe and useable charity retail and wholesale space.
Yuku Baja Muliku Landowner & Reserves Ltd
YBM Rangers will host three workshops with 50 youth between prep and Year 12. Inviting the Cooktown Ambulance Service, QLD Fire and Rescue and the QLD Police Service to teach children about disaster readiness for our community.
