Register for Self Service

We are introducing our Customer Self Service portal which provides a variety of online services available 24/7, including the ability to subscribe for notifications.

If you have not yet registered to Customer Self Service, please follow the steps below to set up your profile.

Step 1 - Register for Self Service

  1. Go to Self Service (ergon.com.au/selfservice).
  2. Select Login - top right hand corner
  3. Do you already have an existing Username and Password? Complete your Username and Password and select LOGIN.
  4. Don't have an existing Username and Password? Select Register Now under LOGIN to set up an account.

Step 2 - My Profile - Add your NMI/address

You will need to add a National Metering Identifier (NMI)/address to your profile to complete self-meter reads, manage notifications and update your dog details. The NMI can be found on your electricity bill or by contacting your retailer.

  1. Login to Self Service.
  2. Select Welcome - top right hand corner.
  3. Select My Profile from the drop-down list.
  4. Scroll down to the My NMIs section to add your NMI/address.
  5. You can add your NMI/address by:
    1. Unique Code. If we sent you an SMS notification with a unique code, you can enter the code and we will automatically add any related NMIs to your profile. Select Have a unique code? and enter the code in the SMS notification.
    2. Add a NMI. Using your latest electricity bill, complete the fields exactly as they appear on your bill. If the information entered does not match the details provided by your electricity retailer on your bill, you will need to call us on 13 74 66 for assistance.
  6. If you have successfully added your address to Self Service, you will see each applicable address/NMI added under My NMIs.

Step 3 - Access services including notifications

After you have completed Step 2, you will now have access to complete self-meter reads, manage notifications and update your dog details.

Manage Notifications

Subscribe or unsubscribe for notifications such as planned outages, unplanned outages, meter read (if dogs onsite) or when our crews are on the way to certain work requests.

  1. Select Welcome - top right hand corner.
  2. Select My Profile from the drop-down list.
  3. Scroll down to select Manage Notifications in the My NMIs section.
  4. Check or uncheck the options to suit your preferences for each notification option.

Self-Meter Read

If we visited your property and left a card as access to your meter was restricted or unavailable, you can submit a self-meter read online.

Select Self-Meter Read on the main page. You will need to login to Self Service before you are able to complete online.

Update dog details

Let us know about dogs at your address.

  1. Select Welcome - top right hand corner.
  2. Select My Profile from the drop-down list.
  3. Scroll down to the My NMIs section and select Update dog details.
