Crews to deliver Millmerran maintenance work
Published: 13 Oct 2016 10:29am
Update 13 October, 2016
These important works have been rescheduled for Monday (17 October), to take advantage of the student-free day, given some of the work is close to the school and requires mains power to be cut to the school.
The power supply interruption to about 320 customers will be from 9am until 3pm.
Ergon thanks customers for their patience and understanding about the need for this outage and for the original plans being revised due to severe weather conditions.
Update 21 September, 2016
Due to the prevailing weather conditions, today's planned outage in Millmerran has been postponed.
Customers will be notified when the outage is rescheduled.
Ergon regrets any inconvenience caused by the delay.
Original 20 September, 2016
The power supply to about 320 Ergon Energy customers in Millmerran will be interrupted tomorrow (21 September) to enable crews to safely complete a range of preventative maintenance work.
Crews from neighbouring depots will work alongside the Millmerran crews to maximise the amount of work that can be achieved in a single planned outage from 9am to 3pm.
The outage has been scheduled during the school holidays because one of the two poles to be replaced is outside the school.
Several cross-arms also will be replaced after being identified in Ergon’s regular inspection program as being at risk of failure if not repaired in the medium term.
While the power supply interruption will affect about two-thirds of customers in the town, the hospital and Foodworks store have generators for back-up during this period.
Customers who will be affected by this outage will be notified in advance by mail.
Ergon apologises to customers for any inconvenience.
