Increased reliability from Hughenden network maintenance

Published: 2 Feb 2016 2:05pm

Power will be interrupted to all customers at Hughenden, Cape River, Richmond, Winton, Torrens Creek, Stamford, Corfield, Glenelg and Julia Creek from 4am until 6am on Tuesday February 16th to allow crews to undertake a major upgrade of Ergon’s Hughenden substation.

The work being undertaken will improve the reliability of the electricity network that supplies power to these communities.

“It’s important work that will make a big difference to the network and our customers,” said Acting Customer Delivery Manager Matt Wuersching.

“We understand the need for reliability across the region and have made this work a priority.

“The timing of the interruptions designed to minimise the impact upon these communities as much as possible,” he said.

There will be further work to parts of the electricity network until February 26th but it’s not expected to impact power supply.
