Published: 17 Sep 2015 3:20pm
Ergon Energy Retail wants to partner with companies that can help it meet a new commitment to source even more renewable energy for its customers.
An Expression of Interest for Renewable Energy Project Developments was released for market consideration recently and will remain open until September 23.
“Ergon Energy Retail has received strong interest from renewable energy project developers in regional Queensland and will soon be asking developers to put forward these projects for consideration,” Ergon Energy Chief Executive Ian McLeod said.
“Ergon Energy is already the largest purchaser of renewable energy generated in Queensland including partnerships with sugar mills through power purchase agreements and we are now entering the market to buy an additional 150 megawatts.”
Ergon Energy Retail is looking to partner with new renewable energy projects with companies that have a solid reputation in the renewable energy space and can demonstrate their projects will contribute significantly to Ergon Energy Retail meeting its Renewable Energy requirements.
Companies interested in submitting an Expression of Interest for Renewable Energy Project Developments will be able to access more information from Ergon Energy Retail’s website at www.ergon.com.au
