Graduate program

If you’re completing a university degree and looking to build a career in electrical engineering, our Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity.

As one of the top 20 of the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (voted by graduates), our electrical engineering Graduate Program continues to power the careers of Queensland’s best and brightest. The three year program includes mentoring, career development and support from technical specialists in a variety of disciplines.

Applications for our 2020 intake have now closed. Our next intake will be advertised in March 2020.

About the program

As a graduate with us you will be:

  • Working on interesting and dynamic projects that challenge and help build your professional skills
  • Supported every step of the way by empathetic and experienced
  • Given your own mentor (experienced engineer) to work with you throughout the program
  • Supported by flexible working options so you can manage your professional and personal priorities
  • Great career options when you complete the program.

Our program also supports you to work towards Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).

Your development

The focal point of our program is a three-year rotational plan. This allows you to experience on-the-job training across various business divisions in different geographic locations. You will be provided with a mentor for the duration of the program, along with a supervisor to track your development on each rotation.

These rotations expose you to a wide variety of people, roles and environments, helping you to expand your professional network and really understand our business. We pride our program on providing a culture that empowers you to take charge of your development and career direction.

Training support

In addition to your on-the-job training, you can complete a range of postgraduate courses to support your professional development. We recognise the importance of interpersonal skills and offer customised training courses to help you develop into a well-rounded engineering professional.

Career opportunities

You will have many career opportunities across our various divisions, functions, locations and diverse roles. In our business it’s possible to start your career as a graduate engineer and, in time, progress to a senior management role.
