Alter or upgrade your connection

Altering a connection applies only to customers with existing electricity supply. Your connection may need to be altered if you are installing new equipment such as air conditioning or a swimming pool. Please consult your licensed electrical contractor who will advise if your connection needs to be upgraded.

If your property requires upgrading, call Ergon Energy Customer Service on 13 10 46, Mon to Fri, 7.00am-6.30pm.

Remove your connection

Removal of an electricity connection typically occurs when the site is being demolished.

Ergon Energy requires advance notice in order to investigate the request and provide an agreed date for the removal of the electricity connection.

Only the property owner or authorised agent responsible for demolishing or removing the site can request that the connection be removed. In order for the connection to be removed:

  1. The property owner or authorised agent must complete a Request for the Abolishment of Supply and Removal of Ergon Energy Asset form (PDF 22.8 kb) and fax it to Ergon Energy. You can also request a copy of this form by calling us on 13 10 46 (Mon to Fri 7.00am - 6.30pm).
  2. You must then contact your electricity retailer to close your electricity account.
