Ergon Energy’s classification of Major Customer Connections typically includes the following types of projects:
- Loads that exceed 1,500kVA or 1.5MVA or where power usage is above 4 gigawatt hours per annum at a single site
- Generation that is above 10 kilowatts on 1 phase, or above 30 kilowatts on 3 phases, and exports energy into the electricity grid
- Generation is required to operate in parallel with the grid supply, usually for testing purposes
- Where there are other complicated connection requirements
