Ergon Energy's regional supply territory is massive and diverse - covering 97 percent of Queensland, from coastal rainforest to the outback, and from the Torres Strait islands to the southern border ranges.

It is also highly exposed to the elements, and includes some of Australia's most impacted areas in terms of natural disasters.

Our assets, including 150,000km of powerlines, one million power poles and 33 remote generating stations, are in some of Australia's most remote and inaccessible locations.

Cyclones, floods, severe storms, lightning and bushfires can adversely affect our vast network and interrupt your power supply.

However Ergon Energy works hard to minimise this impact, see how. Our goal is to minimise the potential for power outages, respond safely and as quickly as possible when outages occur and keep our customers better informed.

While Ergon Energy has a detailed restoration plan and well-proven processes to get the power back on, it's also important that our customers prepare for the storm and cyclone season.

Be storm prepared, check out our Always safe around the home guide.

Check our FAQs for information on the sequence in which Ergon Energy restores power to its customers, safety information about generators and our ability to predict restoration times.

Take a look at the latest weather conditions.
