These documents are for use by Electrical Contractors and others requiring information on metering and electricity connections to Ergon Energy's distribution network.

As of July 2010 there will be one Electricity Connection and Metering Manual for Queensland's electrical installers.
As a result of ENERGEX and Ergon Energy's ongoing collaboration, the manual aligns requirements and work practices for both distribution companies; and will provide guidelines for connection of supply and metering of customer's installations.
The Electricity Connection and Metering Manual will be available for download in March 2010 via the websites of both ENERGEX and Ergon Energy.
Compliance will be required from July 2010.
In addition to this, ENERGEX and Ergon Energy will be posting printed copies of the new Electricity Connection and Metering Manual to all Electrical Contractors who are currently registered with the Queensland Electrical Safety Office. These manuals will be posted in late March 2010. We encourage all electrical contractors to update their details with the Electrical Safety Office to ensure they receive a copy.
