Ergon Energy has submitted to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) its Regulatory Proposal for 2010 to 2015.
Our Regulatory Proposal sets out the revenue needed to upgrade, maintain, and operate the regional Queensland electricity network over that period and to meet growing demand from our customers.
The Proposal seeks to secure the revenue required to deliver:
- improved network resilience to severe weather and cyclones;
- improved quality of supply – particularly on SWER lines in remote and rural Queensland;
- improved reliability; and
- increased capacity to meet growing customer demand for electricity at peak times, driven by population and economic growth and lifestyle aspects such as air conditioning.
In November 2009 the AER released its Draft Distribution Determination for our 2010-2015 Regulatory Proposal. In response, Ergon Energy submitted its Revised Regulatory Proposal on January 14, 2010. The AER's Final Determination is due in April 2010.
