Power Trip is an award-winning educational stage production developed by Ergon Energy and Queensland Arts Council (QAC). It will be performed in schools across Queensland as part of QAC's Ontour inschools program.
Power Trip showcases two comic time travellers - Watty and Volt - who travel through time and learn about many energy related issues. Primary school children from Years 1-7 follow the adventures of mischievous Watty and sensible Volt in a hilarious and energetic performance. The two friends travel through time with the help of the Ergonometer. The Ergonometer takes Watty and Volt back to the prehistoric times and into the future teaching them about how electricity was first discovered and what kids can do today to help.
Students will be delighted by the 45 minute performance from Watty and Volt and will benefit from the story-telling format by being "educated" through entertainment.
The program is linked to the Queensland school curriculum and supported by pre and post-performance classroom lessons.
