For teachers
Unplugged & Queensland Arts Council
Learn how to reduce energy consumption at home and in your school! Unplugged is an interactive forum theatre performance about energy use and awareness. It’s up to students to initiate energy saving strategies for their school and at home.
About Unplugged
Unplugged is a about Gemma, a young girl who is worried about her family’s electricity use as they often leave the houselights, air-conditioning, computer and TV switched on all day. She’s convinced that making changes to energy consumption is her responsibility. Gemma finds that changing her own energy-saving behaviour is quite simple - it’s persuading others that’s hard.
Visit the Queensland Arts Council schools website to book an Unplugged performance for your school.
Teachers resource kits
Unplugged and the Queensland Arts Council provide free Teacher Resource Kits which complement the performance and are linked to curriculum and essential learnings. Save time and download the free Teachers Resources Kits, Risk Assessment Documents, articles for your schools newsletter and more.
