Ergon Energy continues to show its commitment to communities across Queensland through its support of the Green Team.
This program involves our employees who share a passion for the environment and want to make a difference.
Membership of the Green Team is voluntary and most activities take place during the employees' own time. Ergon Energy assists by donating corporate resources to help the Green Team with its initiatives.
The Green Team has participated in a number of events including:
- Clean Up Australia Day
- World Environment Day
- National Tree Day
- Landcare
- Local environment festivals.
In 2004 the Ergon Energy Green Team won the Corporate Award in the annual Queensland Arbor Day Awards.
