About RECESS
Ergon Energy hosts a series of information sessions for residential electrical contractors across regional Queensland.
The sessions aim to build awareness and understanding about:
- compliance
- demand management initiatives
- tariff prices and structure
- connection issues
- emerging technologies
- Queensland's energy future.
Sessions are held across major Queensland towns and regional centres where possible, with Ergon Energy representatives from each region attending to answer queries local to the area.
RECESS also features product displays, demonstrations, information and services from industry and member associations. Previous attendance has included:
- ECA/ME (Electrical Contractors Association and Master Electricians)
- NECA (National Electrical & Communications Association)
- Schneider Electric
- Clipsal Australia
- Haymans
- Energy Skills Queensland
- HIA (Housing Industry Association).
Feedback from over a thousand electrical contractors that attended RECESS is reviewed to help determine the topics to cover in future RECESS sessions.
