Form A online is an electronic version of the electrical contractor's request for initial connection, metering change or service alteration. It can be accessed and lodged via the secure Electrical Contractor Log In area.
Form A online has been designed so you can simply type in information and/or select options from the relevant dropdown box.
Forms can be lodged 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You will receive an email confirmation that your Form A has been lodged.
Electrical contractors with a current Queensland electrical contractor licence can register for a log in.
Download and print a hard copy Form A (PDF 40.6 kb) and post, hand deliver or fax (phone 13 10 46 to find out the correct fax number) to an Ergon Energy depot.
Troubleshooting
I am having difficulty logging in to Form A Online
Check that you are using the correct username and password. Check that your browser cookies have been enabled. Instructions for enabling cookies vary according to the type of web-browser. Below are instructions on how to enable cookies for common Windows browsers:
- Go to Tools on the menu bar
- Pick Internet Options
- Click the Security tab
- Select the Custom Level tab
- Under Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer click Enable
- Under Allow per-session cookies (not stored) click Enable
- Select OK, yes you want to save the settings.
I do not receive email confirmation when I lodge a Form A online
Ensure that you are not ticking the box at the bottom of Form A Online advising that you DO NOT want an email confirmation. Check that your inbox is not full. Ensure that the email address you have supplied to Ergon Energy is valid by selecting the Change Details tab at the top righthand corner of Form A Online and updating your email address and other contact details if necessary. Remember that if you change your internet service provider, you may need to update your email address.
I have difficulty remembering my password
To change your password to something you will remember more easily: Logon to Form A Online Select the Change Password tab at the top righthand corner of the page Enter your current password Enter your new password Re-enter your new password Your password will be automatically updated
