Each year Ergon Energy develops a comprehensive program of works in preparation for the summer storm season to ensure we are prepared for any weather or peak demand-related infrastructure challenges that may be experienced during this period.

Our Summer Preparedness Plan 2009/10 is our formal commitment to the communities and people of regional Queensland, which sees us again focusing on three key areas:

• investing to prepare and improve the network to minimise the potential for outages
• developing our response plans to ensure we are equipped to deal with major events, and
• keeping our communities informed and engaged.

We are taking a proactive approach to learning from the lessons of previous summer storm seasons, listening to our customers and responding to their needs in terms of network security and resilience.
