Corporate Communications Manager John Fowler said “Crews are working again tonight to reconnect all customers where it is safe to do so and where a licensed electrical contractor has repaired customers’ installations to receive power and a Form A has been lodged.”
Approximately 60 customers remain without power as they wait for an electrical contractor to repair their electrical installations to ensure they are safe and ready to receive power.
“It is Ergon Energy’s responsibility to reconnect the service line, but it is the customer’s responsibility to engage a licensed electrical contractor for any electrical repair work on the connection point and wiring” he said.
He thanked customers for their patience and understanding during the last few days as Ergon Energy worked quickly to repair its severely damaged network and restore power.
