Being Aircon Smart will help you save. As a guide you'll save around
6% in operating costs for every degree. So by setting your aircon
at 25o instead of 21o could save you 24%.
Using the sun to dry your clothes instead of the clothes dryer,
could save you around $50 a year.
Changing six 75 watt incandescent globes to 15 watt energy efficient
bulbs could save you around $60 over a year. And turning lights
off when they're not required will save you even more.
By installing a low flower showerhead, a family of 4 with their
water heater connected to Tariff 33, can expect to save around $100
over a year. And having shorter showers will help save more.
And don't forget that drinks fridge, turning it off when you don't
need it will save around $100 or more depending on the size.
